 Corporate Greenhouse Gas Inventory Design (Carbon Footprint).
Climate change is an issue which business can ill afford to ignore. An increasing number of countries, regions are taking steps limiting GHG emissions (eg. mandatory emissions trading programs, voluntary programs, carbon or energy taxes). In maintaining a competitive position companies must be able to understand and manage their carbon footprint.
Managing GHG risks and identifying reductions opportunities might be:  
  • Identifying risks associated with GHG constraints in  the future
  • Identifying cost effective reduction opportunities
  • Setting GHG targets, measuring and reporting progress
Whether  operating local or internationally CCI can help you in determining your carbon footprint in accordance with internationally recognised standards (WRI/WBCSD GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, IPEICA, CCAR, Bilan Carbone, ...).





Corporate Social Responsibility Reporting
Sustainability reporting is the practice of measuring, disclosing, and being accountable to internal and external stakeholders for organizational performance towards the goal of sustainable development. Good CSR reporting needs to strike the right balance of content, presentation, detail, as well as being accurate, transparent and balanced. ISO 26000:2010, Guidance for social responsibility aims to be a first step in helping all types of organization in both the public and private sectors to consider implementing ISO 26000 as a way to achieve the benefits of operating in a socially responsible manner. The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Reporting Framework is intended to serve as a generally accepted framework for reporting on an organization’s economic, environmental, and social performance. It is designed for use by organizations of any size, sector, or location. 

CCI can help setting up your report, determine content, scope, layout, stakeholder engagement (AA1000), ensure complaince with GRI application levels on some or all aspects.



Verification Services (EU ETS, Corporate GHG Inventory, CSR audit).
Verification services independently or as subcontractor for a larger certification / verification organisation (eg. EU ETS annual emission reports, Corporate GHG inventory Reports, Corporate Social Responsibility Reports). 

CCI is involved as sub  for  some major DOEs.

Clean Development Mechanism / Joint Implementation Services.
The Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and Joint Implementation (JI) are two of the three flexible mechanisms within the Kyoto Protocol. Meeting elegible Kyoto Protocol criteria, investments in emission reduction project(s) can generate emission reduction credits that can be traded and/or used for compliance. Besides a regulatory market a voluntary market exists (VERs, VCUs,..).  

For all CDM/JI/VER related issues CCI has an exclusive partnership with Sindicatum Sustainable Resources ltd.

Carbon Neutral / Carbon Neutrality at Meetings, Events

A carbon neutral company is one where net CO2 equivalent emissions from its activities are zero. In principle, a product or service can also be made carbon neutral. A carbon neutral company reduces its own carbon emissions as far as possible, and offsets the remaining emissions. CCI can help your business, service of product to achieve carbon neutrality.

A meeting or conference can be considered climate neutral when all possible efforts have been made to reduce the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions arising from the organisation of the meeting and when carbon offsets have been purchased to compensate for the unavoidable emissions.

CCI can help your business, service, product or event to achieve carbon neutrality using international accepted standards (eg. PAS2060).

Carbon Supply Chain - Product Carbon Footprinting.

Greenhouse Gases are released into the environment right across the entire supply chain or product life cycle  (from raw material sourcing, manufacturing, distribution, consumption (use), disposal and across multiple industries). Mapping GHG release throughout the chain can reveal opportunities for mitigation.Recently the WBCSD/WRI released the The Corporate Value Chain and Product Life Cycle Standards. The Corporate Value Chain Standard reveals opportunities for companies to make more sustainable decisions about their activities and the products they produce, buy and sell. Large and small companies can look strategically at greenhouse gas emissions across their value chain, showing them where to focus limited resources to have the biggest impacts. The Product Life Cycle Standard enables companies to measure the greenhouse gas emissions of an individual product. Covering materials, manufacturing, use and disposal, the product standard will help companies improve existing products and design new products, and provide insights for more informed consumer choices.

CCI can help mapping GHG LCA emissions (in accordance the new Corporate value chain/ Product LC standard or AS 2050 guidance).
